We’re excited to share details of our Gippsland Dawn Offshore Wind Project. This 2.1 GW offshore wind project is proposed to be located 10–33 kilometres off the coast between Paradise Beach and Ocean Grange in Gippsland. Our aim is to harness the wind’s potential to generate renewable energy for homes, which will help create regional jobs and drive investment.

Major Project Status for Gippsland Dawn

Gippsland Dawn Offshore Wind Project has been granted Major Project Status (MPS) by the Australian Government

06 NOVEMBER 2024

Gippsland Dawn is one of 16 diverse projects nationwide to receive this recognition and only the second offshore wind project being developed to hold this status.

Gippsland Dawn awarded a feasibility licence following consultation with Traditional Owners

Gippsland Dawn Offshore Wind Project has been awarded a feasibility licence by the Australian Government to further its development plans. BlueFloat Energy, the proponent of Gippsland Dawn, has been active in Gippsland since 2021 and believes the project could be operational by 2031.
